Stable Performance I

May 2000
Municipal yard, Aylesbury
Buckinghamshire

Photographic works of a site-specific performance/installation.

Stable I was presented as photographs in various formats, which document a site-specific performance/installation. Video clips and sequential photographs show how the installation was created during a day-long performance. An experimental piece, Stable I was the first work for the artist in which his naked body was used to apply paint to walls by pressing against their surfaces and rolling across them. The various elements of the installation have some depth suggesting landscape and shapes and texture from the body used to apply the paint.
